When your trucking loan with Accion Opportunity Fund (AOF) is paid in full and closed, we begin the process of releasing your vehicle title. Titles are released on a bi‑weekly schedule, every other Tuesday, typically in the middle and end of each month.
After your loan closes, AOF will countersign your paper title to remove our lien. Once signed, the title is mailed to the address we have on file, so it’s important to ensure your mailing information is current.
Paper titles can take up to 30 days to be fully released and delivered. In some states, your title may be held by a third‑party title holder (for example, another financial institution). When that happens, AOF notifies the third party that your loan has been paid off. Once they release the title, it is mailed directly to you.
When you receive your title, take it to your local DMV to request a free and clear title—this is the updated title showing AOF has been removed as the lienholder.
If you haven’t received your title within 30 days after payoff, or if you need to update your address, contact our support team.
